What Big Adventures Does Ant-Man Get Up to in New TV Spot?

Marvel’s next big film, Ant-Man, comes out in just a few weeks and there’s a new TV spot and posters to feast your eyes on!

Whatever your early opinion is of this film, the new video reveals two big things: the film is going for comedy and Paul Rudd (Scott Lang) is going to make a very likable and great hero.

The new footage is jam-packed with quips and one-liners (most delivered effortlessly by Rudd).

Don’t think that the movie will forget it’s about a superhero though! There are some great action shots (including fights between Ant-Man and Yellowjacket, as played by Corey Stoll) and effects of Scott shrinking and growing in size.

Here’s the synopsis of the film:

“The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.”

A new video isn’t the only treat we bring. Several character posters for the film have been released, all showcasing the major characters of the film… alongside a very tiny Ant-Man. There’s also one with Scott Lang and a tiny Yellowjacket. So far they’re receiving mixed reviews but at the very least they’re creative and clever.

Ant-Man, directed by Peyton Reed, and starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Douglas, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Judy Greer, Tip “Ti” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, and Jordi Mollà, will hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
