“My name’s Leo and I’ve got 3 rowdy brothers who always give me a hard time, but I keep them in line… usually. Master Splinter picked me to lead because I eat, sleep and breath Ninjustu. Not that my brothers aren’t good, I’m just better.”
Good Smile Company is partnering with Nickelodean to to bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to life and first up is Leo as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo by James Jean Statue.
This statue is based on acclaimed artist James Jean’s original rendition of the four turtles. The Leonardo statue features the eldest brother poised for battle. Katanas in hand, Leo stands atop a base designed as a crumbling ledge. Leo stands approximately 10 1/2-inches tall, including ledge base.
The colors are muted and distressed, showing that Leo is accomplished in battle. With his blue bandana, he is recognizable as the leader.
“James Jean is a good friend and one of the most talented artists that I have had the fortune to work with,” says Takanori Aki, President and CEO of Good Smile Company. “The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles art piece he created for our project is truly fantastic. Staying true to his vision, our Good Smile Company creative team worked intricate details into the collectible statues which capture the essence of his artwork and will be just as great.”
