Get Your First Glimpse at Disney’s New Frozen Short

Frozen Fever is sweeping the nation and Disney does not disappoint. The beloved characters from the 2013 hit Frozen will return in a seven minute short preceding Disney’s live action Cinderella.

If March 13 is too far away (and trust me, it is), the first official stills for the short are here! Frozen Fever centers on Princess Anna’s birthday party, hosted by Queen Elsa who is no longer afraid of her magic. But what will happen when Elsa comes down with a cold on the day of the party?

“It’s another side of Elsa the audience hasn’t seen before and we hadn’t really played with in the original feature,” director Chris Buck told USA Today.

The whole family will return with Kristen Bell reprising her role as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, and Josh Gad as Olaf the Snowman. I guess Prince Hans wasn’t invited.

The short will even feature a new song from Oscar-winning husband-and-wife team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and new dresses for Anna and Elsa.

“The gang is back together. And literally it’s like we never went away,” says Gad. “Every day we’re reminded of Frozen in our lives. So it feels like a continuation of a saga that has many parts still untold. It felt like coming home again after a short absence.”

Personally, I can’t wait to return home to Arendelle on March 13 to see the whole family, unorthodox as they may be. What about you? Are you excited for Frozen Fever? Share your thoughts in the comments!
