Newest Fantastic Beasts Trailer Will Make You Feel a Lot of Things

The latest Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trailer has plenty of new sights and sounds to behold, but none so exciting as “Hedwig’s Theme.”

Prepare to have a lot of feelings, Potter fans.

The theme, created by legendary composer John Williams for the original Harry Potter films, makes its first appearance in this new trilogy in an epic way. Find out for yourself!

Here’s what we knew before this teaser trailer: protagonist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a magizoologist, has come to 1920s America with a briefcase full of magical creatures. When they get loose, all hell breaks loose.

Now we know quite a bit more. Thanks to a voiceover by Colin Farrell’s Percival Graves (who I can’t wait to see as an American auror), it’s revealed that Scamander was kicked out of Hogwarts for endangering lives with a beast. Yet one of the professors at Hogwarts stood by and defended him. Which professor? Albus Dumbledore, of course.

There’s humor in this trailer (like Scamander making his briefcase Muggle worthy), and what seems to be a political plot (with a character named Shaw, played by Josh Cowdery, and Shaw, Sr. played by Jon Voigt).

However, what this trailer does best is create an epic feeling, full of wonder and awe, as we realize we’re going back to the wizarding world.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, directed by David Yates and written by J.K. Rowling, stars Eddie Redmayne, Ezra Miller, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ron Perlman, Colin Farrell, Jon Voigt, Samantha Morton, and Carmen Ejogo, and is set to hit theaters on November 18, 2016.
