During Disney’s D23 Expo this weekend new footage of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was premiered only to attendees. All Star Wars fans wanted to talk about was Darth Rey and the double-bladed lightsaber and they couldn’t wait to see the actual footage for themselves. Luckily, Disney and Lucasfilm posted the D23 special look online this morning and it’s everything fans hoped it would be.
It’s fitting that the latest footage of The Rise of Skywalker, the conclusion of the Skywalker saga, would include some of the best moments from the eight previous films in the saga.
Disney also released a special new poster for The Rise of Skywalker. The film will hit theaters on December 20, 2019.
