Today, Star Wars: Episode IX director J.J. Abrams announced that photography has officially wrapped on the concluding film of the sequel trilogy. Of course, this means that the still-untitled Star Wars movie heads into post-production – with reshoots and editing- but it’s emotional to think that the Skywalk Saga is coming to a close.
Here’s what J.J. said about wrapping photography:
It feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all. pic.twitter.com/138AprtFuZ

So, now all the fans will want the name, poster, and, of course, a trailer. We will definitely see the title for Episode IX and a poster sooner rather than later but don’t expect a trailer to drop at the same time. Expect some pretty exciting drops at Star Wars Celebration April 11-15, 2019.
Episode IX will be released in theaters on Dec. 20, 2019.
