So today Funko announced their newest license with Sesame Workshop. The two will unite to create Sesame Street Pop! Vinyl Figures.
Sesame Street Pop! Vinyls? Be still, my beating heart. The nostalgia bomb mixed with the utterly adorable Pop! style appeals to Sesame Street fans of all ages.
“Funko is excited about our new partnership with Sesame Workshop. As a company we feel that the Sesame Street license is a fantastic way to bring our older customers back to their youth, while at the same time introducing our fun new line of collectibles to younger generations,” said Andrew Perlmutter, Funko’s VP of Sales.
This new line will officially unveil at New York Comic Con this weekend, with the First to Market Release of their Toy Tokyo exclusive Super Grover Pop! Vinyl. The stylized Grover stands about 3 3/4 inches tall and comes in a window display box.
The complete Sesame Street Pop! Series will be released in 2015 and includes Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Oscar, the Count, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Grover.
