Action Figures

Toy of the Week Podcast: Glow in the Dark ReAction Nosferatu

He may not sparkle, but he certainly does glow.

Valentine’s Day may be around the corner, but we’re already thinking about Halloween. This week Adam Pawlus takes a look at the marvelously macabre Count Orlok figure from Super7. As one of the most iconic (and baddest) vampires in cinematic history, little Orlok here looks just like Max Schreck in all his eerie glory.

Wearing his classic brown coat with perfectly painted buttons, Orlok features a green glow-in-the-dark polish, which looks great on a shelf. Sculpted after the iconic 1980s Kenner action figures, Orlok also sports individually sculpted fingers, which is a far change from the action figures of yore. You’ll also notice the insane amount of detail that went into the card itself, though you’d expect nothing less from Super7.

As an Entertainment Earth exclusive, Orlok boasts articulated arms, big spindly fingers, huge batty ears, mascara-induced eyes, and a flat ol’ butt. That’s right – Orlok’s got a flat behind. As, what Adam calls, a “new old toy,” Orlok basically looks like an updated version of those classic ’70s and 80s figures of yesteryear. It’s a great description, and the nostalgia oozes as soon as you take him out of the package.

Yup, this is one vampire that doesn’t suck. To hear more about Orlok, be sure to have a listen to the latest Toy of the Week Podcast below.
