Let Thor: Ragnarok Smash Your Home Theater!

One of the year’s not-so-surprising hits at the theaters was Thor: Ragnarok. Being a part of the MCU, we knew it would be good and that it would find both box office and critical success. What we weren’t expecting was exactly how much fun the movie would be. The first two Thor films were very heavy thematically and relied on drama and big fight scenes. Ragnarok took a step in the Guardians of the Galaxy direction. It had fun with characters like Thor and Hulk, putting them in a new light we hadn’t seen them in before.

We were introduced to brand new characters as well, none as astonishing and captivating as Valkyrie who left us begging for more Tessa Thompson in our future Marvel films. Cate Blanchett stole every scene she was in, portraying Thor’s sister, Hela. Not only was she visually stunning, but you hung on every imposing word she spoke. Let us not forgot the unforgettable portrayal of The Grandmaster by Jeff Goldblum. He was hilarious, eccentric, and Goldblum made the character his own. This story loaded and the newest installment to the Thor series made over $845 million globally at the box office, but now it’s ready to enter the wide world of…. your living room!

With the release of a brand new in-home trailer, we also have the release date for both digital and home media for Thor: Ragnarok. You can pick up the HD and 4k Ultra HD digital version on February 20, 2018, and also pick up the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray discs on March 6, 2018. The Ultimate Cinematic Universe Edition (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital) copy of Ragnarok, not only includes the stunning visuals delivered by 4K Ultra and next-gen HDR but also a Dolby Atmos immersive audio experience. Included on the discs are never before seen deleted scenes, outtakes, an exclusive short, the third part of the hilarious mockumentary Team Thor, titled Team Darryl. Also included are featurettes which explore director Taika Waititi’s unique vision for the film, the story’s unstoppable women, Korg, the Grandmaster, and the comic book origins of the film itself. Waititi also provides audio commentary for the film as well.

Chances are you already have the rest of the MCU in some form be it digital or physical home media. Don’t drop the hammer now! Get your copy of Thor: Ragnarok and keep your collection whole!
