Does One of These Funko Pop! Figures Spoil the Justice League Movie?

The Justice League has been in the news lately for sad reasons – primary director Zack Snyder has stepped away from the film following his daughter’s suicide, leaving Joss Whedon to direct the reshoots and final edits – but excitement for the DCEU’s biggest film yet only continues to grow.

The early footage released during last year’s San Diego Comic-Con gave us our first taste of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman in action, as well as glimpses of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg and Ezra Miller’s The Flash. And we already knew that Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Ben Affleck’s Batman are the Mom and Dad of the League.

Now the official series of Funko Justice League Pop! figures confirm some major fan speculation…

First up, there’s Batman in his brand new JL armor, featuring dramatic silver accents, serious ass-kicking boots, and some fun goggles. Bruce has got his glower face on beneath the cowl, as per usual.

Next is Aquaman in his green, brown, and gold uniform with scale motif and an impressive trident. He’s also sporting Jason Momoa’s distinctive eyebrow scar and moles – Arthur Curry may talk to fish, but that doesn’t mean he can’t shove you through a wall and into next Sunday.

The Flash is ready to feel the need for speed in his sporty red costume with black accents and fingerless gloves. Barry has a hand out like any good peacemaker, but the World’s Fastest Man is always quick to see when the time for diplomacy has passed.

Cyborg has become more machine than man thanks to a terrible accident and dangerous experiment, but beneath his metal exterior, he still has the very human heart of a hero.

Wonder Woman is about to shine in her own solo film, but she also knows how to work well with others: with a sword in one hand and her magic lasso of truth in the other, the Amazonian princess shines on any battlefield.

And – finally! – the man behind the symbol, the inspiration for the League itself, Superman! We all knew his “death” at the close of Batman v. Superman couldn’t be the Last Son of Krypton’s final curtain call in the DCEU, but it’s nice to get the confirmation that Supes will be a very physical and real presence in The Justice League.

Clark’s also sporting a new bit of tailoring, with his classic red and blue suit updated with pale blue stripes at the sleeves and waist. He’s clearly just landed in the thick of things and is striking a dramatic superhero pose.

The entire Justice League stands 3 3/4-inches tall and comes packaged in themed window display boxes. They’ll be arriving on our shelves this August, so be sure to pre-order the entire superpowered lineup today!
