The countdown to the premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has begun! We officially have a month and some change left at this point, and we can expect many more sneak peeks as we get closer to the release date.
The new TV spot doesn’t appear to reveal anything that the latest trailer didn’t already show us. However, it is beautifully done! The use of the Star Wars theme being played on piano is haunting, and the close-ups of Jyn’s squad makes you feel like you’re teaming up for an assault on the Death Star right along with them.
Speaking of Jyn Erso, the little snippet of her rousing speech literally gives me chills. “We have hope. Rebellions are built on hope. Are you with me?” In her voice, I hear the commanding spirit and determination of Queen Amidala and Princess Leia, two other powerful women who helped forge brave new paths in the galaxy. May Jyn’s legacy be just as bold.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will hit theaters on December 16th.
