There is a great disturbance in the Force as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in joy! The official full-length trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has finally dropped and there are only three words I can use to describe it – Darth Freaking Vader!
That’s right, we got visual confirmation that Darth Vader will be making an appearance in the new Star Wars film. While it’s more than likely his presence in the film will be just a cameo, it’s exciting to know that Lord Vader will be back on the big screen.
The trailer also expanded on things we caught a glimpse of in the teaser trailers and behind-the-scenes reel. It gives us more details about the relationship between Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor (played by Diego Luna). Alan Tudyk’s surly droid, K-2SO, also gets some air time. There are a couple of shots of the brand new vehicle, Incom UT60D, also called the U-Wing that was revealed last week.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and set to arrive in theaters on December 16, 2016.
