The TNT series Titans, based off of DC Comics’ Teen Titans, has apparently been canceled.
The series, which was to be headlined by Nightwing and see a team that consisted of Hawk and Dove, Starfire, Raven, and Oracle, was meant to shoot the pilot last year.
However, TNT president Kevin Reilly explained at the Television Critics Association: “We decided it wasn’t where we wanted to go.”
It’s disappointing, because the Teen Titans are ripe for storytelling and adventure. And it would have been the first time we saw Nightwing in live-action!
The series was going to be written by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman (for A Beautiful Mind) and Marc Haimes.
