We all know and love Nintendo’s theme for Super Mario Bros., right?
But did you know the familiar tune also has lyrics? It’s true!
In 1985, the company asked fans to submit ideas for lyrics and they became official when Nintendo released a version of them on vinyl. Now the song is available on Joysound, a karoake platform for cafes, and the Nintendo systems Wii, Wii U and 3DS.

I’m not sure I’ll ever quite wrap my head around these lyrics, or even knowing that the theme has lyrics at all. I’m probably just going to continue humming the theme to myself.
