We’re pretty big fans of Spider-Gwen over here and we’re not the only ones. She’s become a popular character in Marvel Comics and for good reason.
The Earth-65 Gwen Stacy has proven to be adaptable, fun, and a big hit. So it’s no surprise that people want to see a movie with her, starring Emma Stone, who played Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man films.
Well, the creative forces over at Vulture have decided to take this notion into their own hands and create a trailer for the movie that could be, which you can watch below.
Using clips from movies like The Amazing Spider-Man, Easy A, Birdman, and Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films, video artist Alex Coulombe showcases a Gwen Stacy who gets bit by a radioactive spider and then has to face her father and the police who don’t seem to trust her.
It’s a fantastic video and I can easily picture Stone in the role. The only problem with it? It’s not actually a real, upcoming film, and now I’m bummed.
Alas, at least I still have the comics. Speaking of, you can next check out Spider-Gwen in a new series next month and Gwenpool (a Deadpool mash-up) in December.
What do you think of the trailer? Would you want to see a Spider-Gwen film?
