If you thought the Mega Man 2017 animated series was awesome, get ready for this: 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment are developing a movie for Capcom’s beloved blue robot!

This is Hollywood’s second big video game movie announcement in just a handful of days.
There’s not much more information about this reported Mega Man film but at least we know the producers check out: they’re the people who brought us the surprisingly awesome reboot of Planet of the Apes.
Mega Man is considered one of the most renowned video game franchises in the world and Capcom attributes this to “the contrast between the good looking characters and the hard-core action of the story line. The series have reached the hearts of many around the world through not just its video games, but through character goods, comics, TV anime series, movies and several other types of media as well.”
It’s no concern that the film will have appeal, but rather how Hollywood will adapt it. That being said, seeing Mega Man use his epic cannon arm on the big screen would undoubtedly be awesome.
