As we get closer and closer to the first season finale of The Flash, we have to wonder what’s in store for us next. So far we’ve seen the Rogue Gallery, Reverse Flash, and we’re about to see more of Grodd. What could Season 2 hold? According to a new rumor, Superman.
Reddit user Comic Central City stated a source told him that co-creator and executive producer of The Flash, Greg Berlanti, spoke at a CW event and reveales that Superman might show up in Season 2.
The second part of the rumor is that Tom Welling, who played the Man of Steel on Smallville, will reprise his role. It’s not the first time the two series have collided:

Comic Central City went on to say that Superman could appear in an alternate timeline, where Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) assume their super alter-egos, Killer Frost and Vibe.
Unfortunately, a rep for the show told HollywoodLife that the report is not true.
However, this could mean the Tom Welling part is not true, not that a Superman appearance isn’t true. After all, Berlanti is working on the upcoming Supergirl TV series, which could mean a super crossover with The Flash and/or Arrow of some sort.
The Flash has four episodes left in its first season. The next episode, “The Trap”, airs on April 28th at 8PM on The CW.
