We’ve had our cinematic Dark Knight trilogy, and now it’s time for DC Comics to finish theirs. DC announced today that legendary comics writer, Frank Miller, will return to Batman to write The Dark Knight III: The Master Race.
In an official statement, Miller commented:
“Batman remains my favorite comic book hero and a sequel to Dark Knight is going to be daunting but we’ll do our best.”
For the first time in four years, he even used his Twitter account:

The series will come out this fall and mark the 30th anniversary for the classic The Dark Knight Returns. Brian Azzarello will co-write the series with Miller. Artists have not been announced yet.
Miller’s name came up recently with Marvel’s Daredevil, which many people believe was mostly based on Miller’s run.
This is big news and sure to get fans excited.
