Maisie Williams to Set Foot on the TARDIS This Fall

I don’t know about you but, personally, I’m thrilled that Arya Stark will leave Braavos to travel with the Doctor. Wait, what do you mean that’s purely fictional? All TARDISes must fly!

Maisie Williams, the actress behind precocious Arya Stark on HBO’s phenomenal Game of Thrones, will join Peter Capaldi and Jenna Louise-Coleman on the TARDIS this fall. Set to guest star, Williams is thrilled to join Team TARDIS:

“I’m so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British culture. I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town.”

Showrunner Steven Moffat seems just as excited as Williams herself. He added:

“We’re thrilled to have Maisie Williams joining us on Doctor Who. It’s not possible to say too much about who or what she’s playing, but she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways. This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell.”

With Game of Thrones Season 5 returning in just a few weeks, I can’t help but sit on the edge of my seat in rapt anticipation. As a fan of both Doctor Who and Game of Thrones, I’m excited to see what comes next for both stories.

Joining Williams as guest casts on the show are Rufus Hound, Tom Stourton, Ariyon Bakare, Simon Lipkin, Ian Conningham, Murray McArthur, Barnaby Kay, John Voce, and Struan Rodger.

Do you want to see Doctor Who cross over with Game of Thrones? Because I do! Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
