It’s been a long time coming, Marvel fans, but the Deadpool movie is finally happening. More news surfaced for the film, giving us a better look at the cast.
While we already knew that Firefly alum Morena Baccarin was going to be in the film, now we know as who. She broke the news herself via Twitter:

The chair might only say Vanessa but it’s almost certainly Vanessa Geraldine Carlysle a.k.a. Copycat. She’s a mutant with metamorphing abilities. She can also replicate superhuman powers, abilities, and mental imprints.
Her comic history is deeply tied to Deadpool’s. As a teen in Boston, she met and fell in love with the mercenary. He broke up with her after learning he had cancer, leaving her heartbroken. However, they’ve crossed paths several times since then throughout comics. She’s also been captured by Weapon X and a team member of X-Force.
Baccarin isn’t the only cast member to reveal their character through Twitter! T.J. Miller (How To Train Your Dragon, Big Hero 6) tweeted this two days ago:
Yes yes y’all. Weasel in the house. #Vancouver pic.twitter.com/5EPPpYb4wH

Jack Hammer a.k.a. Weasel is a friend, sidekick, information broker and arms dealer for Deadpool in the comics. Some might even go so far as to call him Deadpool’s best friend. Though it’s definitely not a perfectly healthy friendship.
Lastly, we might already know who Ryan Reynolds is playing (Deadpool himself) but he clearly wanted to get in on the fun too:

Deadpool, directed by Tim Miller and starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Ed Skrein, is set to hit theaters on February 12, 2016.
