Highly anticipated, this spin-off focuses on the story of The Flash himself, Barry Allen, in the aftermath of a freak storm caused by a particle accelerator. After being struck by lightning, CSI investigator Barry Storm awakes from a coma with the power of super speed. Suddenly able to move through Central City unseen, this ‘meta-human’ dedicates his life to protecting the innocent.
Barry’s ‘meta-human’ status places him alongside others who were affected by the blast…and not everyone is using their powers for good. For now, only a few close friends know that Barry Allen is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns that he has become The Flash.
From co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg comes The Flash. Grant Gustin is the titular hero, with Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Detective West, and Michelle Harrison as Barry’s mother, Nora Allen. John Wesley Shipp, from the original The Flash television series, joins the cast as Barry’s father.
