Giant Lego Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Destroys New York

LEGO Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Destroys New York

Did you ever expect to see a giant Lego Stay Puft Marshmallow Man destroy a Lego scale model of New York City? The great minds at Hobby Inside and OliveSeon created an Attack of the Marshmallow Man diorama to go along with the 30th Anniversary Ghostbusters Lego set.

Lego announced the idea for an Ectomobile-1 and minifigs Lego set on their Lego Ideas blog. The Ghostbusters set quickly gained traction and has already found its way onto shelves. There is a current campaign running for the Ghostbusters Headquarters Building as a Lego set. With over 9000 supporters, the headquarters is well on its way toward being approved! As for the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, there is no official Lego product (yet).

The scale diorama of New York City was supported by the Lego store and created by Hobby Inside’s diorama team in its Korean stores. OliveSeon repurposed existing Lego building sets to create an extensive replica of a city for the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to destroy.

The team behind this Lego Stay Puft Marshmallow Man’s destruction analyzed the components of Ghostbusters before creating a large and highly specific diorama. In it, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man faces off against the Ghostbusting team in a half-ravaged city. Not only does this city feature the Ghostbusters scene, it also includes city scenes featuring innocent bystanders.

What do you think of this Lego creation? If you could recreate any scene with Legos, which would you choose? Sound off in the comments!
